A NOTE TOWARDS TOMORROW

Through the Producer's Eyes

First Frames: Producing "A Note Towards Tomorrow" in NYC.

First Day
When we first set out to tell the story of how jazz is transforming the lives of kids in New York City, I knew we had something special. What I didn’t know was how much I’d learn along the way—about music, about storytelling, and about myself.

This is my first time producing a documentary, and it’s been both thrilling and humbling. Every day on set brings a new challenge, whether it’s chasing the right light, capturing a spontaneous moment, or simply learning how to listen deeply.

One of the most powerful moments so far was filming the two young students improvising on the trombone and drum—their confidence, their joy, their voice through music. That’s the magic we’re trying to capture.

At the heart of this project is Jazz Empowers, a nonprofit that brings jazz education to underserved schools. Their work is changing lives, and we’re honored to help share that story through A Note Towards Tomorrow.

We’re just getting started, and I’ll be sharing more behind-the-scenes updates here. Thanks for following along—this journey means the world to me.
